Meet Elizabeth Compton, CEO and Founder of Team Compton. Born in Toronto and
raised in Don Mills, Liz considers herself to be a true “Don Miller”, a badge she wears with
pride. She is a goal driven, compassionate entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in
Real Estate. She has always had a strong passion for marketing and sales, and if you ask her,
being an entrepreneur has always been in her blood.
In 1988, Liz moved to Saint Lucia with her young family, where she owned and operated
a number of small businesses before becoming a Realtor. She moved back to Don Mills in 1996
with her children, where she began working for her family’s printing business, and very quickly,
became one of the top Sales Reps in the company. In 2004, at the age of 45 years old, she had
the courage to start yet another new business, and dove into a career in Real Estate.
Liz has built this business from the ground up, giving it 100% of her time and energy
since day one. She has always been proud to live in Don Mills, the first planned community in
Canada, and loves to educate others on the rich history of the community. When she decided
to work a geographic area, Don Mills was the perfect place for her to be. She began by knocking
on doors in the neighbourhood, holding open houses for other agents; and for anyone that
would listen, she loved to tell them that she was a Realtor, and proud to be one! Liz has always
poured authenticity into her business, and although there were many other Realtors in Don
Mills, she didn’t worry about the competition; she has always known that there is only one
Elizabeth Compton, and what she has to offer is unique.
From the beginning, Liz knew that to truly take care of her clients, she would need to be
a full service Realtor, and that’s whey she was always offered the full spectrum of services.
Within a very short time, Liz built a hugely successful business, which has grown year over year.
She is a well-known Realtor in the Don Mills area and proud to be within the top 2% of agents
across Canada. Her business has never been transactional; it is firmly built upon relationships,
many of which have turned into wonderful friendships. She understands that it’s not a one-
shoe-fits-all type of solution when it comes to her clients – her gift is her ability to understand
people, their needs, and sense exactly the type of communication her clients need to set them
at ease.
Upon achieving her goal of building a highly sustainable, successful business, she set her
sights upon building a family-based team. Creating generational wealth was very important to
her, and knowing that her clients would have the “Compton Support” for many years to come
was just as important. In 2013, Liz brought her son Julian Compton into the business, and thus
Team Compton was born. Since then Julian has brought his own flavour to the business, taking
care of our Buyers, enabling Liz to set her focus on Sellers. Julian’s life-partner, Amber, joined
full-time in 2022, adding a great deal to our business as our Home Stager & Client Care
Specialist.
Liz has always been dedicated to community at large, and has always created ways for
Team Compton to support and uplift our community, with initiatives such as hosting Food
Drives for the Community Share Food Bank. She is a member of the Leaside Rotary Club and
plays a role in the District. Making time for family is of utmost importance to Liz, and she loves
to host family events at her home in Don Mills, soaking up time with her 3 grandchildren.
